We have been learning to measure items in our classroom using non-standard units.
We chose a measuring tool e.g. counters, beans, cubes, paperclips.
Then chose some objects to measure with that tool.
We wrote down our estimated length of each object, measured it, then wrote down the actual length.

We have been busy making Matariki kites and a wall story with our retells of
'The Seven Stars of Matariki' By Calico McClintock and Dominique Ford.
